I don't think the difference is that pronounced. There's definitely some overlap because we have so many transplants, including from universities in the east and Midwest. Some bros here fall into the well-off frat-boy-type/fitness-obsessed/surfer category.

It's one thing for a college age kid to act and look a certain way "bro" style or whatever. Fine.

When you leave the college aged phase and you still look and act the "bro" style. Later 20s into your 30s. It's time to get a job have a reasonable weeknight bedtime, adress people with a handshake and not a nod, buy some dress clothes and stop wearing sneakers with your dress clothes.

No dispute here. I've seen it extending into the 40s too.

However, on the flip side, if it makes them happy...

In OC the closer to the beach, then no bros, then bros galore in Riverslime and San Berdu compensating for the living areas.

My old apt complex in Irvine had a lot of bros and douches jacked trucks living 2 in 1 bdr.

It's about a 7-10 mile from the beach rule. You agree?

You would probably classify me as a surf bro but whatever...I don't get drunk and try to fight people.
