True, even though it was wicked hot in East County, we shut the AC off last night as it felt comfortable after 10 PM or so, we simply ran the whole house fan.. The AC was back on at 7AM though.

During those humid days last Oct, the AC was on at our house day and night non stop for almost a week.

Central San Diego. Yesterday temp topped out at 84. Ceiling fans did the trick. No a/c needed. Comfortable.

What part, specifically? North Park was into the 90s, and I most definitely needed my AC to be inside the house during the afternoon hours. It was 89 two blocks from the water in Encinitas, too.

I'm in Escondido today and it's currently 109.

I just watched my thermometer turn to 100 at 11:45 a.m. in Jamul.

I also just turned on my air conditioner.

Like Malcorub, we had it off last night as the temp was 75 outside when we turned in at 11. House felt warm but not too bad all morning until about an hour ago. A few years ago, we invested in better double paned windows and we have a porch covering that goes around half of our house as well as ceiling fans in the living areas and bedrooms, so as long as it isn't humid, it usually stays comfortable into the mid 90s without AC.

But when we hit the century mark, AC goes on!

EDIT: Just looked outside and noticed a bit of wind is picking up. I hate when I see wind on hot days like this -- fire danger. I know there was a firing burning down by Potrero last night. Last I heard it was at 1900 acres and only 5 percent contained.

So far a fan will do. Slept pretty well last night but don't dare do much running around today. My bicycle is staying in the garage. I might go out for a walk once the sun goes down.....otherwise I got all the strenuous stuff done before 9:30am.

Currently 102 across I-15 in RP. The heat showed up early today. We hit triple digits by 9 AM. We usually leave the A/C until it's 90 inside, but when we saw that temp at that early hour we switched it on. Easier to keep the inside reasonably cool than to let it get over-heated and then try to cool it down.

yeah oddstray I was a mile east of Pomerado in Poway and it was ridiculous. About 107 at 11:00am. I was working right in the sun too doing some stone venneer. Got done what I had to and left for home around 1:30. I think this was the hottest I've felt in the 15 years I've been here.

Not too bad home in La Costa. Put on the AC and I'm OK
