Anyone can give you names of institutions and their opinion from the inside and the outside. If you want to find a good job which matches your experience as an RN in an organization with good benefits and which is not going through changes let me know. Aa an example Scripps Green Hospital just transferred all it's cardiac care to La Jolla (Prebys). UCSD is adding a new tower (huge) and Kaiser is opening a new hospital off the I-15. All of these employers have cultures.

Anyone can tell you where to look. I can tell you what you will find there. No extra charge. =)

The culture at my current job is wonderful, not perfect, but really positive. The only reason I want to leave is poor quality of living outside of work.

Positive & professional.

I'm looking for a culture where nurses like their work and are able to provide excellent quality of care to the patients.

Professional growth is also very important as well as support for advanced education.

Good pay is also important. Beautiful San Diego is not cheap

Professional growth Scripps Health without doubt. They have an integrated learning module and very high professional education reimbursement.

Pay is pretty consistent among the employers. Kaiser is highest. Scripps is non union and pay depends upon years of experience. Most of us with 10 years or more are between $45 and $55 per hour. Sharp is a little less. Sharp Palomar and Tri City are union and and the same. UCSD pays well.

Culture rated for professionalism and collaboration. 1. Scripps 2 UCSD 3. Palomar 4. Sharp 5 Tri City.

Palomar and Tri City both have had layoffs. Scripps has a no layoff policy. UCSD is far to busy to lay off people. Kaiser has laid off newer nurses. All this is in the past 5 years.

yes Scripps.

My wife works for Scripps and it's a very good organization to work for. And I personally had treatment at Green in the Gastroenterology department and it was first class and very successful.

Both my mother and wife were at Scripps Green. It is a first class operation.
