La Jolla Shores is a great choice for families. There is also a parking lot there and decent bathrooms. Go by Jeff's Burgers afterwards for an ice cream!

There is parking but much competition at LJS. Less competition at Moonlight. Even less at Mission Beach.
All beach bathrooms get pretty grimey fast, but I'm thankful they are there.

There's a small parking lot at the top of Fletcher Cove and an overflow lot across the street. There's also quite a bit of street parking. I've always managed to get one spot or the other even on busy weekends.
