24 single male moving to San Diego, HELP (San Jose: where to live, beach)

Hi,

I'm seriously contemplating a move to San Diego. I'm just tired of Northern California, especially San Jose. Horrible place to live if you want to have any fun being a single 24 year old guy.

I like So cal because of the SUN! And would like to go to the beach a lot.

I would like any suggestions on where to live, any tips on what and what not to do. Where to hang out to meet cool peeps on my level etc.

Given what you are looking for, you'd be a perfect fit for Pacific Beach. Downtown is also very cool and has lots going on, but you'll have to drive to get to the beach.
