Didn't want to type unrelated topics and then get in trouble!

1. What are some scenic Elfin Forest trails that are more or less flat? I want to see Questhaven and Harmony Grove which both look so interesting to me. Good places to eat nearby?

2. I live just slightly over 2 miles to Sea World. The part of Ingraham close to Sea World looks like a concrete mess with a lot of traffic. Do people bike ride there? Does Sea World even have bike racks?

3. What are some date ideas that I cannot think of for what to do after 7:00 at night that don't involve coffee, dinner, or drinks? Seems like the interesting museums at Balboa Park close by 6. All I can think of is the usual movie, bowling, mini golf, taking one of those painting/gardening/blah blah classes. Weekend dates have been easy for us, but the weeknight dates are more difficult so we usually have just done dinner or ice cream with a nice walk on the beach. If it matters, I'm usually in heels lol...

1. Harmony Grove area- Stone Brewery right in the neighborhood Food is good, drink is exceptional. Also close to Restaurant row in San Marcos which has a little bit of everything- very good Thai restaurant there.

2. People bike and run in the stretch all of the time. I'm always mindful of areas with high tourists counts. This folks typically have no idea where they are going- this could present danger when you aren't covered by a plate of steel.

3. I feel old so I don't know what weekday evenings are like and I wake up at 5am. Recently I went to Belly Up (concert venue) Solana Beach during the week. They usually have some decent bands.

For #2, are they just bike riding and running in the street? I don't see a bike path or if there is one, it's extremely narrow.

Okay I'm thinking more Sea World Drive/Tecolote Rd. I travel this part frequently and there are bikes and runners at all times of the day. Don't know if there is a lane dedicated to those activities.

I stick to my spin class. If I'm paid decently I'll bike on these roads.

This would be coming from PB

Maybe someone else can help. I'm frequently driving just south of Sea World. If you bike around Sea World chances are you will take Sea World Dr. Lots of cars going 55-70 MPH- I would think those aren't ideal bike areas. You have cars trying to avoid the 8 and take friars Rd., college students, tourists (sea world, beach goers, lots of smaller business just east.

I've only taken the road/area you are asking about a handful of times. It is probably not as bad - traffic wise (9am-3pm) M-F.

The Museum of Contemporary Art dowtown has regular weeknight events that are aimed at younger professionals. My daughter (late 20s) enjoys them a lot and she and her fiance make a date of it. Downtown at Sundown | Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

Other Museums in Balboa Park also have evening events on a regular basis. For instance, the Museum of Photographic Arts offers film screenings of interesting independent films, and they're often on weeknights. MOPA Film Calendar | Museum of Photographic Arts

Another fun thing to do: pick a neighborhood that you've heard about, but have never gone to at night. Do some research on what's available during the week amd when, and go explore. For example, the village of La Mesa has a thursday night "boulevard stroll" with antique cars and shops to explore: (Historic La Mesa Village offers dining, shopping and entertainment) and, although its not weeknight, there's the Ray Street Art Walk in North Park (Ray at Night Art Walk | SanDiego.com).

The San Diego Reader (http://www.sandiegoreader.com/) and City Beat (http://sdcitybeat.com/) have seemingly endless lists of music, art, lectures and other events listed every week. SDSU, UCSD, USD and the community colleges also have tons of events that are open to the public; you can find their events calendars on their websites.

Also, my son and his girlfriend have had a lot of fun on their dates here: https://www.pinotspalette.com/ (I know you said you've already thought of this, but just thought I'd mention it!)

Hipcooks in North Park offers cooking classes that are fun for couples to do together too (they're a little pricey, but do include a meal): http://sandiego.hipcooks.com/

Enjoy!

There is a bike lane both ways heading into PB from Sea World. They have a bike rack, bring a good lock.

My advice is stay off ingraham use side streets until you get to the intersection where the actual bike path starts. You can also go under ingraham bridge vs taking the light. Too many touristos that are clueless heading in there.

If you like to fish there is decent fishing in the bay as something to do out of the ordinary. Which is the ordinary for me

Which one do you think is safer?
