Default east county vs. north county and downtown

Im really really curious about this. Why is much of east county poorer or more poor compared to north county and compared to downtown san diego? Is it becasuse less people go to college or becasue there are less college graduates out here in the east county area or what??? Becaue if we compare the east county to, let's say, texas, there are a lot of more rich/wealthy people in Texas.

So any thoughts, ideas, or opinions?

Thanks,

jason

Not sure if I agree with you. Texas is a large state. There are rich and poor there. There are more rich people in California than anywhere else in the country. If you include Mt Helix, Granite Hills, and Fletcher Hills, you'll probably have more wealth than many entire US cities.

I also have to disagree. just look at rancho san diego in el cajon! the houses are expensive, and people there tend to have more money.
