San Diego Magazine just listed San Diego's best restaurants according to both readers and critics. You can google it or find on Facebook.

Yes, I agree. But if you want to stuff your face with meat, you're set. Just stock up on your chlosterol and blood pressure meds.

Nope don't what anything to promote high cholesterol & blood pressure! Thanks.

I do want to eat at a couple of seafood places during my vacation there because I hardly get to eat good, fresh seafood & there's only 1 chain seafood please (Joe's Crab Shack) in my immediate area.

I'll look up the Black & Bue place, thanks.

Re: the Brazilian steakhouses, last night, I did find those 2 pricey ones:

1) Fogo de Chão
2) Rei do Gado - (probably the one you were talking about)

I read Yelp reviews for both & it seems Fogo de Chão is better to me, not that the other isn't, but still. Both about $34 pp for lunch, but $54 pp for dinner. I might want to try #1 one night.

Do you or anyone know any good casual, yet nice of these types of restaurants:

American food

Chinese food

Italian
Con pane at liberty station has great sandwiches. Plus liberty station is a nice place to walk around. Just skip the public market there because the food is overpriced and mediocre at best.

Chinese - Dumpling Inn on Convoy. Parking can be brutal.

American food - crack shack in little Italy is pretty good and definitely casual. Herb and Eatery down the street from crack shack is also pretty good.

I've eaten at both Brazilian places and Fogo is definitely the better of the two.

Great, thanks a lot! I planned on going to the Liberty PUlbic Market, so the way you sound, Con Pane is nearby, but NOT inside of the Liberty Public Market, right? I'll Google exactly where it is.

Thanks about Fogo too, it seemed better to me too, so I just won't eat a lot of meat if it's on the salty side, etc. like people say. I hope Fogo has better other non-meat foods in the buffet, self-serve section...do they?
