Winds are picking up here at my office in Kearny Mesa. My husband said it is really windy at his office in Poway.

National Weather Service predicted the winds would move South and really start impacting San Diego County this morning into this afternoon. Looks like they were spot on. There's a fire at the 15 and Deer Springs Road right now.

News says 100 acres already burned and 2 structures lost. Hope they get this under control quickly.

CalFire says 500 acres and 0% contained. Not much chance of control until the winds die down.

The wind gusts in East County are bad today. This morning my neighbor's canopy car port wound up in our tree which is also next to a power line, as it was touching a power line this caused a small fire on our property. Thankfully the fire dept responded quickly and helped me put out fire before it got any bigger and SDGE came out to shut the power off so that we could safely get the canopy down.

Tie your stuff down people or better yet, put it away during the strong winds.

Be safe out there all, you never think its going to happen to you and then it does.

Tonight I came home and found every tumbleweed in the greater Bonita area had found its way into my pool. Fun digging them out.

Oh no ^^^ Plus there is some sort of fire to the South as I can see smoke in the air on the other side of Mt Miguel, must be in Baja California since no fires have been reported to the South on the SD news.
