Default Del Mar or La Jolla?

We are moving to SD in October and are set on La Jolla. But we recently discovered Del Mar, which looks really nice as well. If you had to choose a place to live, which would you choose? We've been to La Jolla and loved it and checked out a few apartments while there. We really don't know much about Del Mar except what we saw online. Any info is appreciated!

Depends what you are talking about here. If you are talking about a house, then I guess it wouldn't matter. In terms of apartments, Del Mar's multi-family stuff is really clustered around the I-5 in non-descript strip-mall suburbia, while La Jolla's apartments tend to be in the village itself, older, walkable, and much more charming.
