Looks like LimeBike in San Diego is gaining traction. Even better is if they were electric bikes, given all our canyon and valleys. What they need to work on next is a better bike lane network.

I picked up off-the-ground one of those bikes this morn and they are very very heavy which I suppose is necessary to ensure they withstand wear-n-tear.

The one with the locking hub? I imagine that adds a ton of weight. Are they steel or aluminum framed?
