Still enjoying the cold weather.

Sooo dreading the miserable heat that's going to wallop us in a few months.

Took the kids up to play in the snow so that was cool. Stopped off at Alpine tavern for a yummy burger and fries. I still can't wait for the heat to come back.

I love how people brag about not putting the heat on. If it's in the 40s outside it's in the low 50s in my built-in-1920 uninsulated cottage. You better believe I'm going to have the heater on!

Also I <3 vintage wool blankets

^^ I still have yet to turn on the heat in my home (no wood burning stove either) this winter although yesterday I was pretty close as I worked from home, but I just put on an extra layer of clothes. Also, the temps are decent during the daytime and at night, which is the cold point, my wife and I hate sleeping in a stuffy room.

My downstairs is from 1965 with brick exterior, so it gets pretty chilly down there, upstairs is newer and insulated just fine.

This weekend might be the weekend I cave though as its expected to get to 38F overnight in my neck of the woods. Still no rain at 4PM.

We were walking over snow at Stonewall Peak in Cuyamaca yesterday.

Looks like more of that will fall in the local mountains.

Since I work nights, I don't have to use my wall heater, but I do use my electric blanket. In the event that I work a day shift, I use my space heater to warm up the bathroom.

Funny. Been here 9 years and have never used the heater even once. Having a place facing south helps.
