I was going to post just about the topic herein, but it seemed better to start a new thread.

Quote:
The San Diego Padres are focus-testing three home and road uniform options for the 2020 season, all of which feature a brown and yellow colour scheme, this according to both the San Diego Union-Tribune and the email accounts of a few readers who were part of the groups.
Padres Focus-Testing Brown and Yellow for 2020 | Chris Creamer's SportsLogos.Net News and Blog : New Logos and New Uniforms news, photos, and rumours (tried to quickly read TOS. If this violates it, modcut)

I was born here in 1975, left in 1991, and came back in 2009. I am more of a soccer fan, but I have been to more than a few Pads games over my 43 years. I vaguely remember the blue era being ushered in, and being bummed about losing the brown. But that was so long ago, I am now even more used to the blue and white.

Having said that, I know the team has often (if not always) had "retro" merch available over the years, and I actually like some of it.

I'd like to keep the status quo blue and white, but also have the brown and gold as a main alternate. I'm also a big camo fan, and feel it suits our city well.

Anyhow, just some thoughts and an announcement to start the year.

I’ve always heard and referred to them as beans and cheese. Never heard mustard and mud before.

I love the brown and yellow comeback. Will probably purchase something because of it.

Padres have ten of the top one hundred minor league prospects. How are they going to mess this up?

I wish I could read this but Union Tribune is charging for their site and I am blocked from viewing it. I refuse to pay for their site.

And here we go! I'm going to be out for most of the game because of real life issues. Can't wait to see how this zillion dollar signing Machado does.
