Hello everyone,

My family will be travelling through San Diego this summer. Unfortunately, we only have 2 days to spend there. We promised the kids we'd take them to Sea World, so that will be one day. What should we do with the second day? Thanks!

-Walk around La Jolla Cove (down to the tide pool area too to get wet
-drive up to Cabrillo National Monument (spectacular overlook of the city & mountains)
-1 hour South Harbor Cruise (downtown)
- shopping later in afternoon @ Seaport Village
- walk around Gaslamp area downtown in evening, then get a chocolate soda @ Girradellis on fifth ( excuse the spelling Enjoy

The San Diego Zoo is another good option for kids. It's one of the most beautiful zoos in the world. It's located inside Balboa Park, which is also
a very beautiful place filled with lots of museums, and beautiful Spanish architecture.

One option might be

Day 1
San Diego Zoo / Balboa Park in morning early afternoon
Seaport Village / Gaslamp in evening

Day 2
Sea World in morning and early afternoon
La Jolla Cove in late afternoon

Also try to catch at least one California sunset at a beach. La Jolla Cove is a good place to view it.

If you were a relative I'd have to take you to the Pacific Beach/Mission Beach boardwalk. I'd show them the distinctly different personalities the boardwalk has by going there at 3am, 6am, 1pm, and 9pm.
