Did you read my post? I didn't deny that most of the folk were transplants. I just said that these transplants are largely immigrants and people from LA, Orange County. The rest are mostly from other Western states. Not a whole lot of people from East of the Rockies.

I agree with this. While "hella" (being used as a synonym for "a lot" or "very") has it's origins in the Bay Area, it has become quite pervasive. It goes so far back that I can't even remember when it started being used amongst myself and my peers.
