It's so much that traffic is bad here, it's the fact that we have some the Stupidest, most self centered drivers in the Nation here

Nope. That would be Florida.

It seems like we keep trying to cram more and more businesses into the UTC/Golden Triangle area and Sorrento Valley... that area is a mess in the mornings and late afternoons.
Then write your city council member to advocate for transit. A large concentration of businesses is the perfect recipe for good transit.

They attempted to do something similar with the Sprinter on the 78. It hasn’t really increased ridership or reduced car use in fact they spent more $$$ expanding the 78 a few years back

Nothing seems to be planned in unison here

I'm in Bay Ho and work off the 94. 15 min to work at 530. If I have to turn around for whatever reason it's an hour easy to get back home. I work with people that live in Oside and if they don't split by say two or so they are screwed. It all depends which direction you have to drive. Sorrento Valley area is the worst and it's got a concentration of businesses. Transit up there blows. It blows everywhere in SD.

I'm much faster commuting by bicycle.

I was spoiled for a few years, from about 2007 to 2014. Lived and worked in downtown so was able to walk, bike, trolley, and occasionally drove if I was lazy.

Fast-forward to 2015 when we bought our house in Otay Ranch. Now I'm commuting to Clairemont area with an average time of 45-50 minutes each way.

On the flip side, my wife's commute was reduced as she's able to take back roads on her 5 mile work commute to Bonita.

All of which is a long-winded way of saying I can understand how they were able to achieve their average result of a 30-minute commute time for SD.

Yeah pretty much. I kinda feel like long time SD residents don't realize how good it is here traffic wise.
