If you are going for a vacation to San Diego, make sure to include Old Town in your itinerary. This place is living evidence of how the modern day California struck its roots way back in 1769 when Father Junipero Serra established the very first mission here.
Old Town takes you back in time with its large treasure trove of historical buildings which includes:
· Historic State Park
· Heritage Park
· Whaley House
· La Casa de Estudillo
· La Casa de Bandini
· La Casa de Altamirno Pedrorena
· Mason Street School
· Little Adobe Chapel
· First Church in Old Town
Old Town is a great place for history buffs. Whenever you are in San Diego, spare some hours or rather a few days if you can, to explore it. It is preferable that you find an affordable
lodging in San Diego which is nearby to Old Town, so that you can commute easily to Old Town and discover the amazing cultural and historical heritage of this place.
