As I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, be very cautious of stepping on stingrays off San Diego beaches. Shark attacks may be very rare, but stingrays are not, and their sting is unbelievably painful. I stepped on one in waist deep water at Pacific Beach, and it was a day I will never forget. The pain was excruciating!

Remember to always "shuffle your feet" (like if you were "skipping") anytime you walk into the ocean. You'll typically see lifeguards doing this whenever they enter the water.

LOL,,,those stats are funny, soda machine's,, who would have thought?

It's mainly Hollywood that over-inflates the fear factor. Plus the fear of just not seeing it coming from below is enough to give many the heeby jeebies?
