Don't Laugh.....it's the official San Diego weather (or lack of) thread
As many of us who live here know, it's not always sunny and 72 degrees everyday of the year. We regularly deal with June gloom, heatwaves, frost/freeze warnings, monsoon storms, hurricane remnants, flash flooding, etc. And while it's NEVER as bad as other places, sometimes it's worth talking about.
I don't expect this thread to stay at the top, but hopefully it will re-appear when the weather is worth mentioning.
It's only fitting to kick this off with today's temps from this weekend's heatwave. I'm surprised only Miramar hit 100 degrees -

Odd weather weekend - it was warmer at the coast than in Borrego Springs (the desert)!. The relative humidity in the Rancho Bernardo area was around 2% mid-afternoon.

Nice thread. As for this weekends weather, I know we get these hot spells every now and then before summer, but these past two heatwaves in April just seem pretty damn hot and out of the ordinary. It seems the temps over the month have been going up and down a lot more than usual. Last Saturday I heard on the news that San Diego set a record Low Maximum High for the day with 59 degrees, meaning it was the coldest maximum temp recorded for that date. And one week later it's 94 degrees and blew away the old record high. It was just too damn hot and DRY this weekend, I actually like the humidity of summer. I can't wait for summer b/c along the coast that's when we have the most consistent temps and least variation between day and night.

Reminds me of a typical summer in Sacramento growing up, with triple digits being nothing odd... the dryness here and general lack of shade makes it harder to deal with though.

I just came back from San Antonio where it was warm and muggy. I did have the privilege of finally getting a couple of REAL thunderstorms with beautiful light shows! Of course, my enjoyment of rain only goes so far. *lol*
