Listen Nort, these locales are a nice day or overnight trip from SD so the visiting San Diegans can and have offered useful perspectives above. Try it, for once

Hey, I love riding to BigBear on occasion. Have a friend with a lake house in Fawnskin, that we visit. (He's thinking about coming back to O'side, btw.)
I only figured BigBear is in another County, that is NOT San Diego.

"Useful perspectives?" For once?

Unbelievable.

This is rich, coming from you, bloom.

I mean if you live in the San Diego area and need to ask if San Bernardino is good then you should just stay home.

Neat pic. I've spent a lot more time south on the San Jacinto peaks but both areas are worthy of a hike. Another reason not to live in Kansas or some hellhole state without terrain.

What are you looking to do in big bear? Rent a cabin and sit in a chair and look at trees? Own a rental property? Take a one-mile hike? Or ski, climb, kayak etc.

Big Bear and really all of the SB mountain communities (Arrowhead, Crestline, Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks, Idyllwild, et) have some major issues around fire, water and access that need to be reviewed carefully before buying in, but they're all nice in their own way for a weekend visit.
