We also had segregated bathrooms. That damn Constitution keeps getting in the way.

Hardly without issue and it's only been since recent times that all the exemptions were taken away from the diehards who won't vaccinate their kids. Even if we get approval for the remaining age group to receive this latest vaccine, I doubt the state will try to impose an immediate mandate for it for schools. It will happen eventually, I suppose, but it's years away right now.

From what I recall, it took almost a decade to get polio coverage to near 100% in the U.S. and that didn't happen that long ago.

Right now I'm more leery of being vaccine shamed than unmasked-shamed. It's a conundrum. I stopped into an auto parts store today, (OReilly) and all signage was gone, yet the employees were in masks. I put mine on without even really thinking. Only two other people were in the place at the time and they were wearing masks too. It just felt like the right thing to do for some reason, like to just be courteous to the employees mostly.

I admit freely that it's totally irrational because any adult in any such environment has access to the vaccine. Barring some weird health condition that won't let them get it, it's safe to assume they've made their choice one way or the other by now.

To me it's not worth overthinking it and I'll probably just do as in Rome for awhile. Masks have never bothered me. Outside though, I've never worn them other than at work where it's required everywhere.

And public health common sense values. But my freedom. Several of those dumb types over the year became infected and died. Remember 8.8.8 trumper pizza pie man Herman Cain unmasked at a trump fascist rally. California seems to be rallying, leading the nation; San Diego at over 75% vaxxed; smart city county we cannot deny

He has a VBA script that interjects "TRUMP" every third character. It's not binary.

Life IS a numbers game. I was shot at in Vietnam and luckily my number wasn't up.

These days, I like to err in my favor. Yes, my wife and I play overly safe but we've always been like that. There are a lot of reasons we've been married for over 45 years.

I have a distant family member planning to stay at our house the next few days. This family lives in Phoenix. I just found out today her family are antivaxxers and antimaskers. They are not staying at our house.

I booked them a room at the very nice Residence Inn in Sorrento Valley which I will pay for. They will get free breakfasts. After they eat breakfast, I'll pick them up in my quad-cab pickup truck. If they refuse to wear disposable masks in my truck, I'll rent a small car for them which they can pay for or they can walk to the beach.

Herman Cain was 9-9-9.

He died of Covids during the summer of 2020 at the age of 74.
