This is an odd one that also gives me the willies.

The incident must have been bad enough that it made local headlines and the coach was put on leave. Have no idea what a "student to student misconduct" means. The cops are saying it doesn't involve sexual assault, but then they don't seem to be too sure of that. There was video evidence but no one's elaborating on what was shown outside of one student being forced to the ground.

The Vista Unified School District Superintendent provided more information Tuesday on allegations of misconduct involving members of the football team at Vista High School.

In a statement sent to ABC 10News, Superintendent Matt Doyle says the school administration has completed its investigation into the incident that was reported by a student on August 31.

Since this was a locker room squabble, and initially it was reported as a sexual assault, the only thing that adds up in my mind is some type of hazing incident.

High school sports still need to be reined in a little better. What's tolerated today is definitely different (and better) than what was tolerated back in the stone age when I was in school. But jock culture is still really a thing. On the other hand, no one would've batted an eye at something like the tortilla throwing debacle when I was young. Priorities.

Saw the video on chnl 39 news this morning.

Didn't see any coach or adult involved. But then again, they also had 2/3rd's of the screen pixelated.

Hmm. High school football hazing. 10:1 it was something like accusing a player other players didnt like, of being gay... then performing some bizarre gross act resembling gay sex for retribution.
Perfectly rational in the minds of 14 yo boys.
"Hey, we think Bob's *****."
"Oh yeah? We cant have none of that around here"
"Yeah, lets pull down his pants and **** *** ****!!"
"Yeah, thatll show him."

On another note, gladiator movies are real popular with gay AND straight men.
