I am looking for a place to stay for an extended time, around two-three months in one of those weekly motels that is fairly reasonable. I am moving permanently to the SD area, but I am open for now on exactly where to live down there as long as I am living down there near the beach, so I can write. -- Do you recommend for me to look in the Orange County, LA, or SD area? -- What is most important is my feet touching the sand while I work on finishing my first book. I am wondering from those who live in the southern area and who is familiar with the whole region down there, where is my best bet for looking for such a place that the tourists would not exactly know about unless they frequent flyer there? You know what I am looking for, one of those local weekly motels. -- Would it be better to be in the Orange area, since all I am reading in the forums is how expensive life is down there in SD; and, now with gas prices, it leaves a person, like me, nervous making such a move without a familiarity to the surrounding areas, but I feel such a need to get back to the area where I came into the world and write. -- Help from those who breath southern California before I riddle forums with my desperate pleas of help, LOL. Thank you for the help.
