Default Upscale Hotel in SD with full kitchen?

We are planning a week trip to SD next year (June) to study the possibility of moving there. We would like to stay in a really nice upscale area (such as La Jolla. But we are open to other suggestions) at a very good hotel, but we would love to have a full kitchen (it helps a lot when you have a toddler.)

Do you know any hotel in SD like that?

Thanks!

Marriott Residence Inn has several San Diego locations.

Here is their La Jolla location.

Residence Inn La Jolla.

I plan to stay here next time I am in San Diego.

Most people would consider the $339/night rate at the La Jolla Residence Inn upscale. Residence Inn is the only nice hotel that has full kitchens in all the rooms which is what you asked for. If you want really upscale plus the full kitchen go for the the $2000/night cottage suite at Hotel Del Coronado.

A suite at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis club off the ocean?

The Official Web site of La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club located in La Jolla, California - Guest Rooms & Suites

I suspect many of these "upper class" places just figure you'd use room service.
