Are there any predominantly black neighborhoods/communities in San Diego? If so, what are there names and where are they located?

The only place I've seen predominantly black neighborhoods/communities in San Diego area is in parts of National City, not a great area I'm sorry to say.

But I'd say in East Chula Vista theres a pretty diverse community of people. Latinos , Asians, White/Caucasians and Black/African American make up the area and my wife and I love it here.

The East San Diego/Southeast SD areas are known to have(or had) large amounts of AA's.Some places like Spring Vly,Linda Vista,Lemon Grove,Chula Vista have ok amounts of African Americans.I'm African American myself and I reside in East CV(Rancho Del Rey Area)

The traditionally black areas of SD are in South Encanto, Mountain View, Lincoln Park in South / Southeast SD. Mostly centered around the Euclid corridor just east of the traditionally Mexican neighborhoods in Logan Heights.

Other areas mentioned like Chula Vista or Lemon Grove have black populations but are not what I would consider "black neighborhoods" as they are actually quite diverse with latino, black, asian and whites.

Changing big time. That's why I emphasized the word had.Blacks are leaving(including myself) the entire Southern California area in crazy big numbers.Look at Compton,Watts, parts of SD.Then look at the Inland Empire,Riverside Co,Southern Nevada,Phx,Tuscon,S.A,Texas.That's where there all going.

Is there any particular reason for this mass-migration of blacks away from SO CAL ? Is there a draw to these other cities because of better housing costs, more jobs or just more more black-friendly ?
Just curious.

I would guess it's rising housing costs and general COL. A lot of areas that were ghetto are gentrifying. Look at Harlem.

Halrem is gentrification. There are condos going in at 500+/sf. What is happening in the Euclid corridor is not what I would call gentrification, but it is a combination of lower crime, higher rents, higher property values. Longtime homeowners are cashing out and latinos and recent immigrants are moving in. Most middle-class homeowners are leaving for greener pastures.
