In the mid 1980's Dick Van Dyke lived in a condo/beach house not too far off of silver strand beach.
Hubby & I lived at Silver Strand & Coronado beach as much as we could.

Also I was shopping at Bonita Plaza one afternoon and there was something going on in the center of the mall. Some type of benefit. I was just window shopping, as I was turning the corner who runs into me...Jack Klugman. He wasn't watching where he was going, he was in a hurry to the benefit. He even had that white hat on. He actually knocked me down. He was very polite & helped me get back up & apologized several times.
I had no idea the crowd was waiting for him. LOL !!!
That was sometime between 1983-1986.

I JUST LOVED SAN DIEGO. If hubby & I could move back, we would do it in a heartbeat.

Back in 1983 Hubby & I helped open up the Target stores. I think 7 or 9 stores in San Diego & 21 stores in LA. We were so glad we were lucky enough to open them in SD.
