Hello. Soon it appears I'll be moving from Brooklyn, NY to San Diego county. I'll be working in Campo, CA but I do not want to live there. I'm looking to live in a area that is a decent commute for me and for my lady. She will be looking for work someplace in San Diego. What or where I'm not sure. She has a BA in Communications and several years experience in the insurance industry. I know its kind of vague but does anyone have any ideas? Some have suggested to me to look at east chula vista area and others have said look at Alpine. We would like to live in a place that has some things to do and low crime. 1 BR is all we really need. Looking to spend around 1300 give or take. Any ideas?

I would live in East Chula Vista (Eastlake). You can take the backroads to Campo which is a nice country drive. Eastlake has all the amenities you will need.

I know a lot of border patrol agents stationed at Campo live in Eastlake or Jamul. You should have no problem finding something in your price range. And I agree, that drive from Eastlake to Campo is really gorgeous, but would be a little scary at night!

Why would that drive be scary at night?
