A little of both. It's not bad at all really. Sometimes you get goons and their dogs there though. We go to Lake Murray instead, it's just closer.

Are the goons you refer to Crips and/or Bloods with pit-bulls or just harmless kids with with smaller dogs ?

Is there a heavy gang hangout presence in the park ?

It's mother natures finest in the ghetto hahaha...ever seen the simpson's episode when bart caught that 3 eyed fish out of that toxic lake?

It's not the worst, but at times alot of thuggish people like to loiter around there. I personally don't like it there. I stick with lake murray. It's nice and quiet and the people are pretty friendly there.

Not heavy but occasional thugs there. It's mostly families and kids. But I agree with the other poster... Lake Murray is better.

Where's Lake Chollas? It sounds familiar. We always liked Lake Murray too and also Santee Lakes.

Well of course Lake Murray is nicer, it is much much bigger. Chollas "Lake" is a pond with a pipe sticking out of the middle of the water. But at least it's something for the kids of the area.
