Oh I have another question. How are the Black Fridays out in SD (day after Thanksgiving sales)? Is the competition fierce or are their certain areas to avoid? Traditionally we go out every Black Friday and it's a blast, but of course we usually have to wait outside in the cold. Will be nice to avoid that aspect this year! So what's the scoop?

Anyone been to Julian recently? Just wondering how close to peak the foliage is. I hope to get up there some time this year!

Well, it won't be too cold, but you have to wait in line outside about 1 hour or so before opening (most places 6AM). It depends on the store, maybe 2 or more hours if it's popular. I remember going into Circuit City (east of LA) and hardly being able to move down the aisles, with easily 50+ people waiting to check out. So I would think the same is true here. Although San Diego might be a little bit less of that.
