Default Congrats, San Diego! For the largest Dessalinization Plant!

The $300 million plant is going to Carsbad and is to be the largest in the western hemispere. It got the finally approval of the Ca. Coastal Commission, today! This is great that San Diego is paving the way for Ca's desperate need of fresh water! We surely need it here in LA! Congrats!

It only costs 50% more to desalinize water here than to transport it all the way from Northern California (like we do now).

the only difference is the endless supply of water to access in the Pacific as opposed to the drought prone NorCal supplies.

Let's just hope this plant will help out the surrounding areas with water supply! Hopefully it's a model for good things to come!
