Thanks for posting those pics, bunky. I considered doing the walk, but quickly found out that all slots were taken. There's always next year!

LOL....yes, it's my friend. You'll notice him in other pics I've posted. I'm sure he gets annoyed by my constant line of "just keep walking....."

It's hard to miss the blossoming Jacaranda trees all over the city. Just a few shots of these beautiful, but messy trees as seen around Balboa Park and Hillcrest -

Love the jacaranda's Urb. I just wish my own jacaranda would bloom as nicely as the ones in your pictures. Maybe as it gets older it will do better. But it's already 15 years old, and it still doesn't compare.

I think the jacaranda should be the 'official' tree of San Diego, much like the Cherry trees are of DC.

While in La Jolla yesterday, I couldn't help but snap a shot of the gas prices at this 76 Station. Check out the credit price for High Performance grade in the bottom corner!

San Diego is great moved here from Seattle. I do miss the green and cascading waterfalls though, and cheaper housing prices. i used to live in Kensington on Hempstead Circle, havn't tried the new burger restaurant yet, heard it's good. The mayor lives there, now I live east a mile closer to SDSU.

Burger Lounge is a great neighborhood joint! Check it out!

Have you forgotten that Seattleites pay a HUGE price for it to stay green (rain, mist, showers, sunbreaks, etc) all year? I just spoke to a friend who lives there and he is about ready to hang himself from the crappy weather they are STILL having since last September. That's 9 months to me and you - No Thanks!!!

My dh felt the same way after moving here from PNW. It takes a while to get used to but now he loves it here and would never move back! Like I heard someone once say "it's a color choice--blue and brown vs green and gray".
