Theh, those aren't sea lions and instead are seals. Sea lions are much larger. The pictures are great though.

Thank you.
The ones on the whale watch were definitely sea lions... Sea lions are only about the same size as harbor seals, at least the females, which I'm pretty sure is what these are. The easy way to tell the difference is their fins look very different from seals (more "feet-like"). They also have visible ears and they make a distinct barking sound, unlike seals. The fat things in La Jolla were harbor seals.

Had some company in town for the weekend, so I took them for a flight to see the sights and snagged a few pictures from their camera:
Departing west over Mt. Soledad, excuse the wing.

Children's pool and the village

Scripps Pier

La Jolla Farms, with UCSD behind

Torrey Pines

View towards downtown

Mission Bay

Downtown and the convention center, excuse the wheel.

Looking toward banker's hill

Looking north from south bay

Mount Helix

8/125 Interchange

SDSU

Great shots, tande1n5! Do you own a plane? I'd love to see more if you have any. SD looks great from up above!
