Here is a nice hidden tree I saw that day

and some ducks

Getting ready to take horses on the trail

A pelican sitting near the OB Pier Cafe during paddle around the pier. It was overcast that day

Some of the boards lined up

This guy was going to have a good time with or without the sun.

Newlyweds in front of the beautiful downtown hall of records (I think, maybe public admin. I can't remember)

A little tilt shift of the paddle around the pier

Some shots from the zoo!

A shot of the bell tower from a skybucket.

Panda!

These last two were taken on my phone

Default Hello Fellow San Diegan:

Hi!

This is my first time ever replying to a "thread" post online! Wow! What a wonderful set of pictures you've shot of San Diego! It's a beautiful city and I'm proud of living in North County where I can make a short commute down I-5 South to such a great place to visit quite often! Hope you get lots of visitors out there that will enjoy the beauty and all that we have to offer in Southern CA!! The Weather's not bad, either...

One I posted in another thread that should also be here

From the pedestrian overpass bridge

View from Coronado

My urban Kensington neighborhood, where most of the homes were built in the 1920's and 1930's

That's it for now and I hope you participate!

Wow!! Awesome images of SD. I visited in '06 to visit my brother there but has now relocated. I wish I was there now to enjoy the temperate weather instead of freezing my a$$ out here in NJ "the armpit of America". I am here due to circumstances and have plans of relocating to the SD area. I am a healthcare professional and would appreciate some feedback on a decent but not overly expensive area to start.
Thanks, Peace Out Manny

I finally figured out my old username by browsing this thread. Here's some Palomar Mountain scenics.

Palomar Mountain this past winter.

Snow field on Palomar Mountain, with San Bernardino mountains in the background.

Sledding hill on Palomar Mountain this past Feb.

Lake Henshaw from east grade of Palomar Mountain.

Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve is one of the outdoor jewels of North County. Great views, along with fairly challenging hiking and tough mountain biking.

This is the Lake Hodges Overlook trail at the reserve. I-15 and RB also in the background.

Olivenhain Dam and some pretty flowers.

Cool spot on the way down.

Harmony Grove, west of Escondido.

Few beach shots

Tyson Street beach and points north in Oceanside, from the pier.

Surfer just south of the pier.

Looking toward Point Loma from in front of the Del.

Carlsbad beach on a beautiful March weekend. (Yes, the water was pretty cold.)

Here are a few pics from my family's trip to Borrego Springs in mid-March.

Lupines on Henderson Canyon Road.

At Anza-Borrego State Park.

Looking down the desert floor from Montezuma grade.

These two are nothing special, but in Julian last summer.

What a cute little town Julian is. When I lived in Oregon I lived in a little town like that - Creswell, OR. Small towns are just the best - you know pretty much everyone. I suppose they could get boring after awhile - we never got bored in Creswell. Always found something to do. We would go up in the barn and move the bails of hay around to make a fort. Then sometimes we would steal a cigarette from my uncle and go hide in the fort to smoke. Dumb - Dumb - Dumb - thank God we never set the hay on fire.
