If you're older than dirt and from San Diego you may remember Zeke's fried chicken and antiques in OB and their garlic french fries, fat man's misery in Torry Pines park, the merry go round in OB left over from the old amusement park that was there. Belmont park when it really was an amusement park with the high dive at the plunge when it really had a deep end. The OB "spaceman" Clint Cary, the boardwalks along the beaches when they were wooden boardwalks not concrete. The slot car track near Point Loma High, Carmel Valley before any houses were there, Anza Borrego desert when you didn't have to stay on the roads, driving all over and never seeing Border Patrol check points anywhere but at the border. The Paisley Pelican head shop in OB.
Yes I am older than dirt but at least I still remember the good old days !

I think I still see Spaceman Cary around from time-to-time. That, or it's someone carrying on his legacy. I've lived in OB my whole life, and I always hear great stories about him. My dad moved to the area in 1968, so I'm sure he knows who he is.

I'll add one to the list. The old Barbecue Pit in PB. I sure miss that.
