So what do you feel is the most overrated restaurant here in San Diego? It doesn't have to be in San Diego city limits either, it can be anywhere in San Diego County.

Pretty most any sit down national chains are overrated to me, especially The Cheesecake Factory. But as for San Diego County restaurants: Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, BROKEN YOLK CAFE, Gringo's, Satana's Taco Shops, and BJ's Pizza are some that come to mind.

- Hash House a-go-go (Hillcrest)
- Ponces (Kensington)
- Broken Yolk Cafe (PB)
- Antique Row Cafe (Normal Heights)
- World Famous (PB)

And by far, the most overrated restaurant in San Diego is...
Pokez!

The broken yolk gets a couple points for handing out muffins when you're sitting in a 20 minute line. But other than that it's overrated

I agree, especially when there are so many good non-chain restaurants here in San Diego.

Anything popular is deemed overrated.

Chain restaurants: Cheesecake Factory (anywhere).
Broken Yolk Cafe (Eastlake)--and obviously the others according to this thread.

Non-chain: La Bella Pizza (downtown Chula Vista): Dirty, lousy food, looks like a dive from outside, you enter from the back door (very tacky). Has been in Chula Vista "forever" and is touted as a "Chula Vista institution." I don't get it.
