Default Humidity levels for the different seasons?

Greetings all! Just checking if you all could tell me what the regular humidity levels are for the different times of year in San Diego and North San Diego County, like Carlsbad. We're visiting right now and boy is it damp! Leave it to Seattlelites to bring rain with us
Thanks!

It definitely has been humid this week, but this is an unusual week.

If you look at the humidity numbers throughout the year, they will be high, but it never *feels* humid because of the proximity to the water. A humidity reading here of 70% feels like no humidity. That same percentage almost anywhere else in the south, east or midwest would feel and be quite humid.

If you are looking for low humidity, almost any city at or near the coast in Californnia will be perfect. I lived in LA, OC and now SD - almost no humidity ever, except for the occasionally odd week (like the week you are visiting!).

Hope you stay; it's beautiful here, and the people are super friendly!

Often in July/August when it gets warm we get subtropical moisture from the south of Mexico so it can get muggy and sticky, but generally it's never as bad as it would be in the South.

Nobody should be complaining about humidity in San Diego, our humidity is so tolerable, and YES go to the South if you want to experience unbearable heat and horrible uncomfortable humidity.

I actually enjoy the increased coastal humidity that San Diego has to offer. It doesn't feel muggy at all because the onshore flow keeps the temperature at a very comfortable level. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even though the months of May & June are considered "dry" (in terms of rainfall), I would think they would be the months with some of the highest humidity readings because the marine layer is more of an influence.

One thing I noticed about San Diego, and most all of coastal southern CA is on the few days when it is hot, the humidity levels usually drop dramatically ... sometimes down into the single digits. This is because the offshore flow brings in the dry air from the desert regions. Also when the dreaded Santa Ana winds become more of a factor toward autumn, the air is very dry.

Tell me about it... I was in Louisiana about a month ago, and I literally felt like I couldn't breathe, and it was only about 80 outside! Granted I like the dry, dry desert air a la Vegas.. but the humidity here is certainly nothing bad (to a former Floridian anyhow).
