only that first time when I plowed inta the snow bank

been kinda self sufficient since

also lucky

eight flats *I've* had in 30 years 4 of em were flat in the home garage from objects picked up the day before on the road that punctured, but didn't imeadeatly deflate the tire

other four, I felt or heard somethin odd and managed ta git OFF the freeway afore they deflated -- 3 were punctures and one was a wheel splitting apart!

like I said -- I been lucky --

anyways

Actually -- kinda funny -- I fergot about the *mountain* blowout incident that happened in a snowstorm early Christmas morning 1996 on I-8 EB JWO Japatul Rd.

I blew a tire on my trailer and a fella I'd givin gas to 9 years before, in almost the same spot, and similar weather conditions showed up to help me change the tire!

Cain't believe I'd fergotton bout thet

Default Glad I Started This Post !

I'm glad I started this post. Hopefully more people on this forum have become aware of the deeds of our San Diego Highwayman !

With all of the bad news out there, this is a bit of good news to report on.

But I'm sure there are lots of people who don't even know about this forum, but who have actually been helped by the Highwayman !

I hope I'm never in need of road assistance, but if I am I'll be damn glad to see the Highwayman's rescue vehicle !
