Yey, we finally made the move to beautiful North County San Diego. (I only wish we had moved here sooner.) Nice weather, friendly/helpful people, good shopping, great schools. In other words, everything is awesome, but now I need to at least find an eye doctor and/or an acupuncturist as I am having issues with dizziness. Any suggestions? Although I have been doing my research on the Internet, there are so many options out there which makes it all too confusing. Thank you so much in advance for any info!!!

Check for inner ear problems as well - they can cause dizziness and vertigo!
I'm interested in this thread too - any recommendations for good docs in general in North County Coastal appreciated!

I have an acupuncturist I like very much, but she is in the Crown Point/Pacific Beach area (at least, that's where I see her). She sometimes lectures at UCSD (and is on the faculty at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine), and I think also practices out of a location in La Jolla. Interested?

I have had some good results with Shiley Eye Center at UCSD. And one of the best Chinese Medicne Docs I have ever been to is Dr. Tan.

I go to Morris Eye Group in Encinitas.

I've been wearing glasses/contacts for 30+ years and by far, the best care I've received is from this office.

For the past 5 yrs, I've been struggling with blurry vision and subsequent headaches.. I've been to 4 eye doctors in SD and all they did was up my prescription. It had gotten to the point where I was seeing double. The techs & eye doctor at MEG gave me a very thorough exam, determined my Rx was too strong and made some other adjustments. I am seeing crystal clear for the first time in many years.

MEG was recommended to me by my friend who is an internist.

Our other doctors are spread throughout the UCSD and Scripps system (mostly out of LaJolla locations) so if you need any other recs, I have them for:

PCP
neurologist
pediatrician
perinatologist

I haven't gone to a dentist yet (still need to do that) but there are several in my pediatrician's building in La Costa.

HTH.

Found a link to this article in San Diego Magazine: "Top Doctors 2007"

Top Doctors 2007 - The List - San Diego Magazine - October 2007 - San Diego, California

They list doctors from the entire county who have been recommended by their peers (other doctors). Hope it's useful for someone!
