Default Commute from Temecula/Murrieta

Hello,

I'm considering buying a home in that area. Do you live there and still commute to SD? What are your thoughts? Or do you think I should stay in SD? I'm so confused and I don't know what to do. Oh yeah, I posted this in Riverside board. Thanks.

Live in Temecula and commute to Old Town? I wouldn't do that. My life is too valuable to spend 3 hrs/day in traffic. But it's up to you.

I know a lot of people who moved up there back in the mid-90's when housing prices were skyrocketing - lured by cheap housing. They tried to continue to commute down to SD to work. Most ended up moving back to the San Diego area. Could not handle the commute for too long.

That is the worst commute (at rush hour) of any road near San Diego.
