There is no shortage of concert venues here. In addition to the ones mentioned above, Madonna and the Rolling Stones played at Petco Park recently, AEG now has concerts at the Qualcomm practice field (12,000 capacity), there's the Del Mar Fairgrounds where I saw Dwight Yoakum play, Summer concerts at the Embarcadero where Radiohead played, Cox Arena and the Open Air Amphitheater at SDSU, Spreckels Theater, UCSD Price Center, Symphony Hall (saw Beck there), and don't forget about Street Scene. That should keep you busy...
