Default Coronado Beaches

Hi Everyone,
A large group of us from Las Vegas want to plan a get together at the beach preferably with a fire ring. We were thinking about the beaches in Coronado. Can you recommend a beach or any beach in San Diego around the month of August? Also do you know of places where they take reservations for fire pits or are they mostly first come, first serve?

Mission Beach has those... I'm not too sure about Coronado.

I think La Jolla Shores has open fire pits but you cannot reserve them ahead of time. I dont' think any of them can be reserved. If you want you can send a person from your group to sit by the fire pit and claim it as "his" so that no one else can take it. My friend did this because he wanted to hold his wife's bday party at the beach. He arrived at 7 am to sit by the fire ring.

Especially in August you need to claim beach space early. However, if it's in the middle of the week, you might be able to claim it a little bit later than 7 am

Coronado does have fire rings on the northern section of the beach. They are first come first serve. They built a bathroom facility right near there last year ~ a very welcome addition! Since it is such a large beach, Coronado tends to be less crowded than Mission Beach or La Jolla Shores.
