Can't believe there have been 10 posts on this threads and nobody's mentioned the hands down best burger in San Diego:

Rocky's in Pacific Beach/Crown Point gets my vote for the best burger in San Diego. If you go, remember you have to be 21 to get in. Rocky's is a hole in the wall bar with a relaxed atmosphere. You won't regret it.

A lot of people swear by Rocky's, but I wouldn't want to bring my kid in there. Burger Lounge... 50 bucks out the door for burgers and fries????....

Hodads... good burgers but noisy and a mess.... fries aren't fresh either....In N' Out is still great. I'm still searching for my favorite!

Had Rocky's for the first time in P.B. last Friday. The place was crowded and the crowd a tad b.o.'d. but the burger was soooo worth it. Hands down best burger anywhere in San Diego. Consistently prepared medium with no charring, very juicy, delicious fries.

Also savor In and Out Animal Style.

What the heck did you order for $50? You can do it for ~$30 for 2 adults, 2 kids, which is more reasonable for their organic fare.
