Default Are there many foreigners recently moved to San Diego?

Do you find it hard to meet Americans? If not do you prefer to meet them or prefer to meet people from your own country? How do you find is the easiest way to meet new people?

When I lived in Europe I preferred to meet people from there to find out more about the local culture. I wonder how hard it is for people who are from another country find how easy it is to meet locals from SD.

I think it is easiest to meet people in a location where you will visit very often. For example, at your work place or at your school. It's easy enough to meet people at the beach but you probably won't see any of them again so that's does not lead to long term friends.

I like to meet anyone who is friendly and generally a good person. Their nationality doesn't matter so much so as long as they can speak English good enough so that we can have a conversation. When I meet local San Diegans, I talk about San Diego stuff, CA stuff or USA stuff. When I meet international people, I ask them about their original home.
