Default Suggest an affordable place to stay in San Diego

I plan to take my two kids on a week long holiday in San Diego. I’m sure the kids are going to love it’s the long sandy beaches, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, amusement parks and near-perfect weather. Can anyone suggest some good and affordable place to stay in San Diego?

Many inexpensive hotels in Hotel Circle area, along the interstate 8 between the 5 and the 805.

Long sandy beaches are nice, but you know that the water is cold, right? Unless you come in July or have a family of polar bears, don't expect to do much swimming.

Hi Caren

San Diego is a super place to be when you are taking kids along. The world class zoo, animal parks, amusement parks etc are a sheer delight. I can suggest you a budget accommodation - California Suites Hotel located right in the heart of San Diego. This one’s a great option in terms of services, accommodation and rates. And the best part is you can commute easily to all the popular places from here. Check out their web site for more details. And have a wonderful holiday in San Diego.

I second the California Suites Hotel. Call them about their weekly rates before you book online. It's a really nice place. It's well-kept, in a good location and includes all the normal basics, free breakfast, cable, parking, a nice big closet, and a pool/spa. We had no problems at all.

San Diego Restaurants, Dentists, Bars, Beauty Salons, Doctors has a lot of stuff to browse. I mention this website because I had lived here in San Diego for a LONG time and didn't know about one of the more famous restaurants - until I learned about it from this site.

I don't stay in a lot of hotels - but I walked through this one some years ago and thought it was very nice - Del Mar Hotel | San Diego Area Hotels| Best Western Stratford Inn of Del Mar | Del Mar, California
