Default Where do singles usually meet in San Diego?

We were wondering where singles usually meet eligible people in San Diego?

Nightclubs?
Online?
The supermarket?

Any other places?

San Diego seems like a hard place to meet new people anyway, much less for dating? Any good stories?

As for me when I was single, I had the best success in meeting people at bars and nightclubs. I think the reason is because I'm usually shy and introverted, but a little alcohol and being in an atmosphere where members of the opposite sex were looking for the same thing made me feel more confident. I've rarely actually talked to anyone I didn't know on the outside such as at the supermarket, laundromat, car wash, etc. I can count how many times I have, and usually I chickened out in asking for her number. I didn't have too much success with the online dating thing, but some do. What's funny is that I did meet my wife on MySpace, but that was after a lot of friend request denials, or ones that added but never email/comment.

It all depends what you're looking for, whether it's serious and long-term, or just a fling. Good luck out there!

You meet single people EVERY where, you just have to keep your eyes open and keep actually approaching people and striking up conversations. Don't be shy because the key is to continually strike up conversations and to keep getting phone numbers or at least that was my strategy when I was single. Even if you aren't really interested in the girl it's still good practice and you never know she might end up being a good friend and she might end up introducing you to one of here friends who you are interested in. I admit my method was to be outgoing and continually throw stuff against the wall knowing that 10% would stick but this helps you keep building up your pool of friends and most people met their future wives/husbands through friends so keep approaching girls and keep coming up with things you can do with them as groups. Throw parties at your house, have BBQs, invite people to go to the zoo (or really any other public place) telling them to bring their single friends, send out e-mails inviting people to go to the beach or out hiking or camping or anything else you can think of. It's fun and you'll keep expanding your network giving you a better chance to find the one girl you hit it off with.

San Diego is a mix of urban city with beach scene with plenty of universities and colleges, nightclubs, bars, beaches and events. So, pretty much you will find a lot of single 24/7.
Just keep in mind you should feel the person, if she/he is open or not. Feel the vibe. You are going to succeed if someone that is in a rush shopping.
I met my husband online, it is another way to meet people as well.
All depends what kind of relationship you are looking for as Seaandatl posted.
