Smile Englishman in San Diego

Hi,

I am coming to San Diego in June 2009 for the summer until the end of September and i am currently looking for a full time position as a bartender or waiter/server. I am from England, United Kingdom and i have vast experience in the restaurant industry.

I have good local knowledge of Southern California and san diego having spent a lot of time over there the past couple of years so adjustment would not be a problem.

Would be willing to consider all types of work at all different types of venues from Bars, Clubs, Hotels, Restaurants, etc.

But i have emailed at lot of bars and retaurants without any response, does anyone have any contacts or ideas about obtaining work over the summer period, i have also looked at pedicabs but they seem to have a bad reputation....so am not to sure about that at the moment.

Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks for your time and i look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers,

Stuart.

You'll have to find a job when you get here. San Diego is primarily a tourist and resort city so there is tremendous competition for those jobs. Focus on the large hotels, resorts, and fine dining establishments in La Jolla, Downtown San Diego, Coronado, etc.
