FlyGuy_ca is on a distinguished road
Default 54St & CA94

We are Canadians who are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom, 1 + bath condo in the San Diego area. We are looking for a place where we and our family and friends can come down and escape from our winters.

We have noticed that there seems to be good prices in the 54th Street, north of 94 area. We are not concerned about commute times, schools, etc. as the place would be for recreational use. But we still would want a decent area that is relatively safe and secure.

Any thoughts or comments or other suggestions? Thanks!!

That's not a very nice area. I would strongly suggest avoiding it.

The area is called Oak Park, it is a low income neighborhood with heavy African American and Latino presence. Not a very nice area, but it could be worse.
