I'm in South OC alot since my bro and his family live there, and I would never choose to live there over SD. It's a very boring place to me.

While they are pretty much the same, I actually prefer Carlsbad, La Costa, Encinitas, Del Mar in SD, to Irvine, Aliso, Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo in OC. In SD, you also have the benefit of living next to big city, as opposed living among a collection of suburbs.

My vote goes to SD, for sure

Well, some would argue LA is thier nearest biggest city. But they are still halfway between SD and LA so your point still stands!
