Does anyone have a great (not good) hair dresser who is more an artist than a cosmetologist? Someone who is closer to $100 for cut and color? I spend $145. Too much and I drive an hour each way for the girl I see now.

I would prefer areas closer in N. Cty. -- like Poway, RP, RB, Escondido, San Marcos. I'd even go to Vista or to Scripps Ranch or Mira Mesa.

I have very wavy, thick hair and it takes a genius to cut and color it well. The girl I go to is amazing, but just too far and too pricey.

Thanks!

You might want to try Orange in Leucadia. They seem pretty good and this lady who cuts my hair is a color specialist. Although, I have a feeling she'll charge more than $100, since I'm a 18 yr old male, who gets charged $40.

Call Joelle's in Carmel Mountain Ranch and ask for Candice.

She rocks. I'm a guy, living in TX, and I still fly out once a month to have her cut my hair (ok, so my family is still there as well, so they get a visit as well).

But Candice is really good. Everyone I have recommended to her loves her.

Default Candace

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. I called there and their prices are even more than I pay now. I told the receptionist this and she said that Candace's prices might be different, so she's going to call me.

We'll see. Thanks again.

Fancy Salon in Mira Mesa (next to Target, used to be Fantastic Sams). 858-408-0937 for an appt. Ask for Kevin, he runs & owns the place. My wife likes his work and he doesn't charge you outrageous prices. He has lots of regular clients and return customers.
