At&t's U-Verse prices can't be beat from my experiance. Time Warner has called me several times asking me to switch back but they can't match At&t's U-Verse prices.

So is Comcast not available in San Diego or Southern California in general?

Most of San Diego is serviced either by Cox or by Time Warner.

All TV services are the same.

Consider your usage. U-Verse claims you can record 4 programs at a time. The reality is, you can only record one HD program at a time. If you don't care about that then U-Verse may be your best bet. Research, and then decide.

BTW, *do* argue with your media supplier when they threaten to raise your rates. We have been on an 'introductory' rate with Time-Warner for six months. It was due to be doubled. We did the research and found that at double the rate we'd be switching to DSL* and dumping Time-Warner. So my spousal unit negotiated with Time-Warner and got the increase down to something small. Research, and then negotiate.

*For television, we don't much watch it. We can get enough HDTV over antenna to satisfy us. YMMV.

Dish for best bargain, Directv for the best signal. Cox TV sucks, phone and internet is good.
